How to Increase Your Vocal Range
Most singers have more range available than they use. The notes are usually there — they're just blocked by tension, pressure or an unhelpful vowel.
Stop pushing
Forcing high notes builds pressure that squeezes the voice shut. Reducing volume as you ascend often unlocks notes immediately.
Work the mix
Blending chest and head registers creates a smooth, connected range with no obvious break. This is the single biggest area lessons help with.
Use vowel modification
Slightly rounding a vowel as you climb keeps the throat open and the tone free. Small adjustments make large differences.
