How to Overcome Stage Fright
Nerves aren't a sign you're not ready — they're your body preparing to perform. The goal is to channel them, not remove them.
Breathe low and slow
Extending your exhale calms the nervous system within a minute and steadies the voice at the same time.
Over-prepare the opening
Knowing the first eight bars beyond doubt gives you a stable runway into the rest of the song.
Perform often, in small doses
Singing for one friend, then three, then a small group builds tolerance far faster than waiting for a big occasion.
